- how important is “your faith”?
- Romans 15:13 (NKJV) – now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the holy spirit.
- we are saved by grace through faith. – Ephesians 2:8
- Jesus said in Mark 9:23 that all things are possible to him who believes. that faith can be positive or negative. it can heal you or kill you if you let it!
- faith is a decision by the inward man based on knowledge.
- but, what did Jesus say about “your faith”, the human kind?
- Matthew 8:5-13 go your way; and as you have believed, (your faith), so let it be done for you.
- is “your faith” being diverted to the wrong picture?
- Psalms 42:11 (NKJV) – why are you cast down, o my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God; for I shall yet praise him, the help of my countenance and my God.
- Psalms 42:11 (The Message) – why are you down in the dumps dear soul? why are you crying the blues? fix my eyes on God, soon I’ll be praising again. he puts a smile on my face. he’s my God.
- you are in control of “your faith” because you can choose the picture!
- God wants you to be separated from the flesh way and quit putting your faith into that picture.

- what does Genesis 13 show us?
- Genesis 13:1 – Abram left Egypt with his wife and lot and all that he had.
- Abram: exalted father, the man with the promises not yet fulfilled
- Lot: the veil, the flesh, the natural think man we all have
- Genesis 13:3 – Abram and lot dwelled together between Bethel and Hai, (ai).
- as a Christian you are out of Egypt (the world) but live between bethel (house of God) and Hai (heap of ruins – broken emotions). Nehemiah 2:1-13 broken walls, burned gates.
- Genesis 13:6 – Abram and lot split up, why? what caused the split? the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled in the land with them.
- Canaanite: junk thinking. Perizzite: no self control.
- Genesis 13:10 – lot lifted up his eyes and beheld all the plain of Jordan
- Lot (the flesh) sees the plain of Jordan (looks good to the flesh to be the easy way but Jordan, the river means descending river running into the dead sea (dead end).
- Genesis 13:12 – Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan but was now separated from lot. Genesis 13:14-17 God tells Abram after he is separated from lot to lift up his eyes and see the land God gave him.
- when you quit seeing the picture the flesh gives you will begin to see revelation in the spirit realm and the promises of God will be your safety, peace, comfort and stronghold that is in the grace of Jesus given to the new creation.
- Genesis 13:18 – Abram then moved his tent to Mamre which is in Hebron.
- Mamre: fatness, prosperous in all areas – the first royal city of David before Jerusalem. 2 Samuel 2:1
- Hebron: a joining – your new relationship with grace and the God of grace.
