John 8:31-43

1. what is a sacred cow?
   1. A sacred cow is an idiom: Something that is regarded by some people with such respect and veneration that they do not like it being criticized by anyone in any way. (From the fact that the cow is regarded as sacred in India and is not eaten or mistreated.)
   2. A distorted view with mindsets & traditions that put Old Testament teaching into New Testament Christianity.
2. the biggest sacred cow – the definition of “what is sin?”
   1. there is an Old Testament definition (wrong bad deeds, our conscience is the voice of the Old Testament law). And a New Testament definition, (anything not of faith which would put you back into works).
   2. we are dead to the Old Testament concept of living and free from it. – Romans 6:6-14
3. laws are used to administer justice
   1. justice is when all things are working in order. many in Christianity are trying to put things in order using old law. That is why there is so much strife, so much fighting, and so many disharmonies in the world.
   2. we in christianity are to administer justice with the law of faith. it is the perfect called the perfect law of liberty. – James 1:25 (Read It!)
4. faith is a law like gravity is a law. they both have an invisible force of power
   1. most christians do not understand what law they are under. They only think the law of works is the way to put thinks into order (justice).
5. god wants us to win at life
   1. your life’s destiny is his dream for you. he has a plan and a purpose for you. – Jeremiah 29:11
   2. faith in the gospel, (which is the power of God – Romans 1:16), is your means to fulfill your life’s dream and purpose.
6. what does God want for a son, (& daughter) & heir, joint heir with Jesus?
   1. you must see and think different than the world. – Ephesians 4:23-24
   2. you must always recognize and remember that you are a new creation in him! – 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20
   3. a new creation walks, talks thinks and sees different than the world does. – 1 John 2:6, 1 Corinthians 2:16
   4. a new creation should have no more conscience of sin but have a Victory’s Vision Jesus consciousness. – Hebrews 10:2
